The mobile service was first boosted by its expansion from iOS devices into Android smartphones earlier in the month, but really hit the headlines after Mark Zuckerberg‘s social network snapped up the small start-up.

According to TechCrunch, Instagram has increased its user base from 30m to more than 40m in just ten days, a growth rate of more than 1m a day.

Instagram has demonstrated an impressive growth rate, reaching the 40m mark in less than two years since its launch in October 2010. It took Facebook four years to pass 100m users, but Instagram is on track to pass that milestone in half the time.

Announcing the acquisition on April 9, Zuckerberg said that Facebook would keep Instagram going as a standalone offering, but the $1bn outlay in stock and cash has raised eyebrows among many people.

Instagram has no revenue stream to speak of, yet at the valuation it is worth more than the New York Times Company, which had revenue of $643m in the fourth quarter of last year and also has more online users, at 44m per month.

Some Instagram users have also expressed concern that Facebook could look to change the photo-sharing service, or introduce targeted advertising to recoup some of its investment.

However, it has been pointed out that Facebook has so far been slow on the uptake in developing mobile services, while Instragram has excelled in the area.

Buying Instagram, therefore, gives Facebook a vital route into better exploiting the possibilities of smartphones, as well as growing platform with which to work in future.

The Finnish developer’s phenomenally popular mobile game is available for the social network’s subscribers through a dedicated app.

The Facebook edition of the game, which debuted on the iPhone in 2009, includes new power-ups and improved networking features to enable players to compete with friends.

“The Angry Birds are finally here,” the developer announced. “Use power ups to supercharge your birds. Play to win and compete with your friends for gold crowns.”

Angry Birds is also available for Android, BlackBerry, Windows Phone and a host of other platforms. The game has racked up more than 700 million downloads to date.

Steno (also known as Nicolaus Steno, Niels Steensen or Niels Stensen) is regarded as the father of geology and he also made significant contributions to the field of human anatomy. He discovered the parotid salivary duct, also called Stensen’s duct.

Steno later gave up science for religion and became a Roman Catholic in 1667 and was made a bishop in 1677. He died at the age of 48 on November 25, 1686.

A group of Empty Pocketed guys started this music video as hobby and getting viral online in our ‘Local’ Level..!! In FB, everywhere it’s being talked; blogs written on them are getting shared more than 100 shares in FB, even our review on music and video got shared more than  shares in FB..!! And now the official video in YouTube is almost reaching 30 thousand visits and still counting, for now at least 100 views per hour and they “Empty Pocket Bros” looking forward to 50k views and to reach all over Karnataka and gain support. Already Karnataka and Engineers gave a big welcome to this video.

A group of debutant amateurs making a music video and uploading it to YouTube, which later shared in FB and within 5 hours it gets 5k hits, in 8 hours it reaches 8k and in next 2 hours it reaches more than 12k..!! Goes viral on Twitter and FB. Its being discussed everywhere.Now its almost reaching its 30k views and this progress and support encouraged “Empty Pocket Bros” to reach next level and to make a number of future projects, but first they want to reach each Kannadigas with ‘I m an Engineeroo’ all over the world, wherever there is a Kannadiga..!!

(I am an engineering student. In few days even i will be an engineer.

When i think of engineer, i remember only engine because its just a machine, it doesn’t have any feelings. it just know – pull it with all your horse power.

Engine is in one side, horse is in another side. Human is missing. So no feelings. Only work and just adjust.

In between all these, to prove that i am a human, we friends decided one thing.. Thats  Chilling out college life with all our horse power..!!

Do you know whats funny in it.. For us to chill out, other-than beautiful girls, there is only products made by engineers. Well you know that girl, hope even her father is not an engineer. We engineers always hope for better.

When this much is happening, it won’t be good if i don’t sing a song.. yeah, we have a song for engineering guys. well for your kind information, This song is not composed by a machine, every bit here is made by humans..)

Wow..!! This teaser trailers of the upcoming song was so energetic and fresh that, i myself a law student started waiting for this ‘Coming-soon’ engineering song…

And finally its here, on 31st December, Rakesh Mayya, the director-Video Editor and concept guy released video ‘officially’ in their official youtube page ‘rockmams‘…

As titles said, Its ‘A empty pocket production‘ and ‘Next Generation Music‘, music video, produced and composed by – RAKESH K.S who composed plenty of songs which is available free in offician FB Music page (Again, Listen – Share – Encourage) , penned and sung by ARJUN KAJE, directed-concept and ‘75% camera man‘ by Rakesh mayya, the remaining 25% ‘Camera man’ by Kabir Manav. This young group of friends, just for hobby practice singing, camera tricks and music. Before this they were doing mixing and shooting video songs with ‘no intentions of spoiling the original song’. This time they composed their own music, sung their own written lyrics and performed in the video. Video shot at HSR Layout in Bangalore.

Its so energetic, refreshing and foot-tapping. Performance by Rakesh K.S and Arjun kaje in video is impressive with very nice lip sync and expressions. Camera work by Rakesh Mayya is speechless, as you go through his FB page and Photography page,  you will get to know his real romance with cameras and Adobe Photoshop. Impressive lyrics written by Arjun Kaje is quirky, romantic, funny and extremely catchy in some points and i can say its Kanglish. Singing of Arjun Kaje is pleasant to hear and make you hum many parts of the song.

Song is on Engineering student life, who try to pass time and also falls in love and fail to keep up his love. Its especially written on VTU affiliated engineering students.

Great edits by Rakesh Mayya. Sometimes its retro and vintage , sometimes its hip hop, sometimes its blurry when hero gets romantic. It was very good when Rakesh K. S and Arjun kaje rap in stairs and video features one and another bit far out-focused. Rewinding when money flies. Video featuring a security guard in MCD at the end is hilarious. Video starting with credits and Mayya’s edited pictures with “I am an Engineeruu” written in Mayya’s forehead. Then zoom-focused on water drops in a helmet glass in night with street light behind was artistic.

After ‘Kolaveri Di’ and “Come on girls’ of movie ’3′, now its our turn to make a Kanglish bizarre style song. The lyrics is Kanglish in most of the part and also simple kannada.
