The new accuser is a gym employee who has accused the Grease star of groping and fondling him against his will.

“As a result of the published lies about my client we expect some ‘John Does’ to come out of the woodwork and assert false claims,” RadarOnline quoted Marty Singer as saying, adding that he has not yet been contacted by an attorney representing the new accuser.

The previous three men comprise of John Doe, a masseur who has recently hired Gloria Allred to represent him after being dropped by his previous attorney; an Atlanta based masseur, who is being represented by Okorie Okorocha and Chilean-born former cruise line employee, Fabian Zanzi.

The gym employee/personal trainer claims that he would open the gym for the 58-year-old when he was on location for a film shoot, after hours.

“The gym was opened as a courtesy to John Travolta so that he could avoid the public yet maintain his fitness in this physically challenging role that he was doing at the time. The gym employee says that John Travolta groped and fondled him against his will,” a source said.

Travolta’s powerhouse attorney, Singer has vehemently denied the allegations.

Travolta has been married to actress Kelly Preston since 1991.

A few months ago, rumours were rife about Hollywood superstar Daniel Craig shooting part of his new Bond film, Skyfall, at Sabarmati in Ahmedabad. Apparently, the film’s production team including director Sam Mendes and production assistants visited the place for a recce.

But it’s believed that they didn’t get the necessary permissions to shoot in the Ahmedabad suburb that is home to Mahatma Gandhi’s iconic Sabarmati Ashram. But what James Bond couldn’t achieve seems to have been attained by the Kai Po Che! team.

Director Abhishek Kapoor’s crew has received the permission they need to shoot in Sabarmati. They may also shoot around Gandhi’s famous ashram. Apparently, a sequence involving a cricket match will be shot at Sabarmati stadium.

“Our line production team got the requisite permissions within a few days of applying for them. We were very keen to shoot there. Since the story is set in Ahmedabad, what’s better than Sabarmati to show the rich culture of the state?” asks a unit insider.

Kai Po Che! is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s best-selling novel, The Three Mistakes Of My life. When contacted, Manish Hariprasad, creative director, UTV (the producers of the film), confirms: “Yes, we will be shooting in Sabarmati, in the stadium as well as in other places in Gujarat. The administration has been very supportive in giving us permissions to shoot in the best of the locations. Besides, the locals have been helpful and welcomed us as their own guests.”

The film stars TV show Pavitra Rishta’s Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh of TV serial Kyun Hota Hai Pyar fame and Rajkumar Yadav of Ragini MMS fame.

The pair had peeled off for the scene in 2011 film “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part I”, but producers later toned it down to avoid being slapped with a restrictive rating.

Stewart admits she was surprised to see the final product, as she and Pattinson had gone to great lengths to make the scene extremely passionate, reports dailystar.co.uk.

“It is a bit full on but it`s edited. I see scenes and I think why is music playing over that, I was definitely making sounds and it could be so sexy and it`s not. The ratings board breaks it down so technically and apparently, thrusting is a huge problem for the children,” she said.

It was hot, 100 degrees with 85 per cent humidity and, understandably, Chris Rock wasn’t happy when we’d asked him to wear winter clothes,” a leading daily has quoted Jones as saying.

“I had 36 babies on standby, many of whom were crying, feeding, sleeping or having nappies changed, and we were fast slipping behind schedule. Suddenly the stress of making a movie slipped away and my only concern was Cameron’s figure. Entering a small air-con-ditioned tent, I found her waiting in a silk dressing gown. ‘Ready?’ she said.

“‘Uh huh,’ I replied in a voice more suited to Scooby Doo.

“She opened her gown to reveal an ample pair of breasts and invited me to squeeze them. Precisely moulded to fit her figure and completely believable as her own, these were two of many prosthetic breasts and baby bumps I would have to inspect each day while making a movie about pregnancy,” he said.

‘What To Expect When You’re Expecting’ started life in 1984 as a pregnancy self-help book and has had permanent residence in The New York Times’ bestsellers ever since. It is considered the undisputed baby bible, with 93 percent of literate women buying it in the US within weeks of discovering they were pregnant.

Although Luke’s apparent reluctance to fight against his oppressors in the beginning might make the audience wonder if the reason attributed for the same is convincing enough, once he begins to fight, they do not care as the fight scenes are entertaining enough. Mei and Luke’s relationship, based on a little bit of mutual understanding, intrigues the audience. Another thing which works for the film is the manner in which various aspects of Luke’s real identity are revealed, one after the other. The action scenes are very well done and hold the viewer’s attention. The dialogues are functional.

Several questions arise in the audience’s mind, as a result. Why does Luke not hit back at the police when is being humiliated in the first place, when is mighty capable of doing the same? Why does Luke not expose the corruption and the nexus between the police and the gangs, when it is later revealed, that he is fully in know of the facts? These and several other questions have to be overlooked if one is to enjoy the drama. Not an easy task for all viewers.

Nobody goes for a Statham flick for his great acting skills; they go to watch him kick some ass. Statham beats up the bad guys and he looks good doing it. Together Statham and Chan make a good team.

An ad for a patato chips company featuring actor Ashton Kutcher dressed up as a dark-skinned Bollywood producer ‘Raj’ and talking with an Indian accent has been slammed for being racist by social media users.

In the ad for ‘Popchips’ , Kutcher appears as four different characters looking for a partner in a dating show. One of Kutcher’s appearances is as the 39-year old Raj, a “Bollywood producer looking for the most delicious thing on the planet” , he says with an Indian accent.

Kutcher’s face is done up with heavy brown make-up . He is wearing a blue embroidered sherwani, sports a mustache and is wearing a big gold watch and a ring.

However the ad does not appear to have gone down well with people, who flocked to social networking sites to term it as racist and bad in taste. The ad has been pulled off from some sites after viewers called it racist. Pop Chips CEO Keith Belling issued an apology. ” We did not intend to offend anyone . I take full responsibility and apologize to anyone we offended,” he said.

WHATS IT ABOUT..

It tells the story of 12-year-old Hugo (Asa Butterfield), an orphan in 1930s Paris, who secretly lives inside the walls of a train station, and keeps all the clocks running on time. Living off whatever food he can steal, the little boy also nicks small mechanical parts from a toymaker (Ben Kingsley) in the hope of repairing a clockwork robot that his father (Jude Law) brought home from the museum before his death. But when the toymaker catches Hugo and insists that the boy work at his shop to compensate for the thefts, he becomes friendly with the old man’s adventure-seeking goddaughter (Chloe Grace Moretz) and sets out to uncover not only the mystery behind his automaton, but also the toymaker’s secret past.

Analysis..

After having released in the U.S last year, Hugo finally releases in India today. Hugo went on to nab 11 nominations and five Oscars this year.

Now, for the ideation. Hugo lives up to the pages it owes its creation to – Brian Selznick’s The Invention of Hugo Cabret. And why just the plot, Martin Scorsese ensures even the feel of the movie is in sync with the literary version.

With 284 pictures between the 533 pages, the book appeals to all for its words as well as pictures. With hardly any dialogues, the movie depends equally on its performance as it does on the picturesque setting. Asa Butterfield and Chloe Grace Moretz are quite successful in taking you back to the Dickensian era and perhaps a 1930 version of Potter’s 9-3-4 platform.

Watch Asa go all out to give Chloe her first taste of real adventure – they sneak into a cinema hall. Watch Chloe kiss Asa for the first time ever on his cheeks – something that makes our kid grow up. But the real winner is Ben Kingsley who, as the owner of a small toy shop, ‘fixes’ whatever little seems to be amiss, both when it comes to machines and the silent pauses.

This is Scorsese’s first 3D movie after more than four decades of making some of the world’s most acclaimed films. The simple beauty of Hugo is that the master filmmaker employs cinema’s latest tools to tell a story that travels all the way back to one of the first moments in film. Apart from which, you’re struck by the inherent innocence and the old-fashioned wholesomeness of Hugo… this from the man who shaped modern masterpieces like the visceral Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, and Goodfellas.

Winner of 5 Academy Awards this year – for cinematography, art direction, visual effects, sound mixing, and sound editing –Hugo is a sumptuous visual treat, not least because Scorsese uses his trademark long, fluid takes to give us a solid sense of the world he’s created. The film opens with a breathtaking shot of the city, the camera then swooping down to the busy railway station, moving in and out of hallways and passages, finally making its way up to the clock chambers, before settling on to young Hugo as he peers at the world from behind the face of a giant clock… You’re hooked from the moment in.

Speaking of performances again, Asa and Chloe are remarkable child actors, holding the movie upon their nimble shoulders with ease. Chloe in particular, is an alluring child woman, drawing you in with her doe-like eyes and charming smile. Veteran actors like Kingsley and Christopher Lee (who plays the librarian) are dependable as ever, putting in solid performances. Cohen also is a big surprise as Inspector Gustave, as his restrained and yet nuanced performance almost makes you wonder if this is the same man who played Borat.

And now we come to the 3D. Heaps of compliments have already been showered on Scorsese’s work with the medium and it certainly isn’t praise enough. Scorsese’s Paris becomes a living and breathing thing and every frame comes alive, each looking like a Monet watercolour. And yet, the medium never eclipses the story and Hugo’s tale remains the centrepiece of this production, as it rightly should be.

Watch it for the concept and the way movie is pictured..

Watch it for the performances..

Watch it for Martin..

But above all, you really shouldn’t miss this for Visual Effects and best 3D movie made till date..!

Just watch it..

UTV Motion Pictures that is marketing and distributing the film in the country, has decided to launch Telugu and Tamil versions of the film’s Hindi theme song, ‘Hello Andhero…’, which has been composed by the popular band Agnee.

Filmmaker Abbas Tyrewala who had written the Hindi lyrics of the song, may also be associated with the translations, but nothing has been finalised yet. “We are looking at how to go about this,” says Kapur.

Come June and Bollywood will be set for action. About 30 films will release in June, July and August. But at the same time, 15 big name Hollywood films will also release.

While it’s a given that Hindi films will always rule the box office, it’s also a fact that in the last 10 years, the market share of Hollywood movies in India has increased from two per cent to eight or nine per cent and is worth about Rs. 850-900 crore. Since Titanic (1997) became the first Hollywood film to have a wide release in India, other films have followed. Last year, The Adventures of Tintin released with more than 350 prints — a record for an animated film. And this year, The Avengers opened across India at around 800 screens in four languages.

And given that international studios often spend sums like Rs. 2-3 crore on publicity as against Rs. 30-50 lakh earlier, trade experts feel that overseas films can no longer be regarded as pushovers.

“Bollywood must accept the power of Hollywood films,” says film trade analyst Taran Adarsh. “Since they are dubbed in local languages too, they affect the revenues of Hindi films.”

On June 8, Shanghai will clash with Madagascar 3 and Prometheus at the box office. Later, Ferrari Ki Sawaari, Gangs of Wasseypur and Teri Meri Kahaani will release along with Benjamin Walker’s Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. In July, The Amazing Spiderman, featuring Irrfan as Dr Promestheus, will take on Rohit Shetty’s Bol Bachchan. And Ice Age 4 will open on July 13 together with Cocktail and Barfi!. In August, Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum, Ek Tha Tiger, Joker, and Raaz 3 face The Bourne Legacy, Total Recall, The Expendables 2, and The Pirates! Band of Misfits.”

Hindi filmmakers are not worried. “Only a big franchise is competition,” says Tanuj Garg, CEO, Balaji Motion Pictures. “Films like James Bond and Harry Potter, for example, will have specific patronage in India. But every Hollywood film isn’t a matter of concern.”

Producer Goldie Behl, whose I, Me Aur Main will release on June 27, agrees. “Of course, films will be competing with each other in terms of revenues. But how big a competition will it be? Hollywood hasn’t been able to break into the mainstream.”

However, says Kercy Daruwala, managing director, Sony Pictures India, “Movies like The Hangover and The Ugly Truth were big hits. We have to accept that the audiences’ tastes are changing.”

Overseas films have picked up for various reasons, adds Daruwala. “Increasing numbers of multiplexes, additional screens and lower admission rates have contributed to Hollywood’s popularity,” he explains. And dubbing movies in local languages like Hindi, Tamil and Telugu adds to their popularity. Almost 40 per cent of a Hollywood film’s business comes from Hindi dubbed versions while around 30 per cent comes from the Tamil and Telugu versions.

Interestingly, July 20 will see the release of only The Dark Knight Rises, the final installment in the Batman trilogy, in 700 screens across the country. No Hindi film is releasing that weekend.
(All release dates are subject to change)

Money talks
Over the past few years, Hollywood films have made big bucks in India.
Avatar – Rs. 142 crore
2012 – Rs. 90 crore
Mission Impossible: The Ghost Protocol – Rs. 40 crore
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Rs. 36 crore
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides – Rs. 34 crore
Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of Unicorn – Rs. 24 crore
Kung Fu Panda 2 – Rs. 27 crore

Record breaking Hollywood films

Titanic was the first Hollywood film to make a record Rs. 52 crore in India.
The Avengers opened in a record 800 screens in India.
The Adventures of Tintin released with more than 350 prints — a record for animated films.
Over the past decade, the market share of Hollywood films has gone up from two per cent to eight to nine per cent.
Hollywood studios spend up to Rs. 2-3 crore on publicity as compared to just around Rs. 30-50 lakh earlier.
